Calculation of earth volumes

Precise measurement of mounds and excavations

We can calculate with great accuracy the volume of earth or stockpile of any mound, without needing to climb on it or use mathematical surface models to simulate the profile of the mound.

Only by flying the drone over the mound can we generate a point cloud of it and from it, define the contour of the mound and generate a digital model of the surface, which by comparing it with the surface that the land would have without the mound, immediately calculate the volume in cubic meters that the stockpile of material has.

This methodology is also useful for calculating the volume of an excavation. It tells us how many cubic meters of earth have been excavated at a specific point on the site. This is very useful for quarries.
